Junior Electrical Estimator

Nazareth, PA

Pay range: $55,000 to $65,000 Annually

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimate from quantity take-off on project and complete estimate to computer printout.
  • Review proposal documents, specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Evaluate possible areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
  • Participate in pre-construction interviews and scope review with clients either on site or at client’s office.
  • Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and obtain quotes from vendors.
  • Create proposal letters for bid and ability to negotiate projects.
  • Complete accurate and timely project Submittals, Change Orders, RFI's, and GC Communication.
  • Ensure project is running safely, effectively, and on schedule.
  • Track project costs throughout project to achieve project budget/cash flow.
  • Ensure quality control throughout project.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while meeting deadline requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Estimating or Managing Electrical Construction Projects.
  • Experience with electrical bidding software (EBM) and PDF viewers. CAD experience a plus.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Degree in engineering or construction management a plus. Project experience must include commercial electrical construction projects.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and amend construction schedule as needed.
  • Ability to participate and manage in a team fostered environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and change priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug screen.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
