SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Interacts with crew members and customers using ‘Tropitude’ (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes

Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere.)

• Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our café. *Must have excellent customer service skills
• Prepares ingredients for our food and smoothies.
• Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Cafes’ standards.
• Uses our sanitation practices to handle and prepare food.
• Sets up and monitors food and smoothie work stations.
• Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe.
• Follows the steps to operate the register including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer.
• Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand.
• Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
• Preferred restaurant experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Most shifts are between four and eight hours, but this may vary.
• Crew Members can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
• Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift.
• Fun, fast paced, upbeat environment with no fryers!

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work day shift, nights shifts, and weekends including holidays!

Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s menu boasts bold, flavorful smoothies with a healthy appeal, all made-to-order from the freshest ingredients. We find that superior, simple ingredients including real fruits and veggies just tastes better.
