General Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Procurement/Retail team as an Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in procurement processes and retail operations within Troon, offering valuable insights into the supply chain management and retail industry.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in sourcing and selecting vendors for goods and services, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
• Support the procurement team in managing purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier relationships.
• Assist in analyzing market trends, researching products, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in retail planning activities, including assortment selection, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
• Help maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, pricing information, and inventory levels.
• Support retail operations by assisting with merchandise displays, inventory management, and customer service as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure efficient procurement and retail operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Retail Management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Passion for the retail industry and a desire to gain hands-on experience in procurement and retail operations.
