Property Controller, FULL-TIME

We're hiring a FULL-TIME Property Controller in Bradenton, FL – Esplanade Golf and Country Club at Lakewood Ranch, Inc.

As the Property Controller, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all financial activities for the community. The community has $15 million in expenses and $6 million in revenue annually. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and monitoring the annual budget, monthly financials, maintaining revenue and expense goals, and forecasting for the future.

Ideal candidates are offered a competitive compensation starting at 130-180K annually based upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, coordinates, and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and the expenses for General & Administrative areas and for the Facility overall as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, etc.) business volume forecasts and planning accordingly
• Oversees accounting and administrative controls to safeguard the assets of the company by mitigating the risk of theft as well as internal frau
• Establishes and maintains integrated plan of operations consistent with the company’s goals and objectives, both short-term and long-term
• Analyzes and revises financial performance data and forecasts as required with the approval of the General Manager/Corporate Office
• Monitors and coordinates company plans of overall objectives, including projection of revenue, cost, net income, cash position, cash management, and capital requirement
• Provides and submits monthly financial statements and capital expenditure report that identifies actual, budget, variance and over/under based on the plan.
• Maintains, coordinates and reviews with the external auditor the closing of year-end books and rec
• Negotiates and monitors contracts with facility’s vendor
• Ensures collection and payment of applicable local, state, and federal ta
• Implements policies and procedures for the Accounting Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services
• Account for member accounts receivables (assessments, charges etc.).
• Coordinate transition for new accounting standards.
• Provide reporting as requested by the General Manager.
• Provide monthly financial report for the community.
• Adhere to community policies as they relate to financial impacts.
• Provide support for reserve balances and updates.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving

• Assures that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate. Develops ongoing training progra

Education and Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree (MA) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of property management system
• Expert knowledge of systems and analytical tools.
