Job Summary
Provides outstanding service to members and their guests professionally and courteously. Primarily responsible for the comfort of members and their guests while they are utilizing the pool.
Daily Operations/ Scope of Position:
  • Greet members and guests to the Wellness Center warmly and pleasantly and oversee the coordination of all member and guest requests and issues/complaints in a professional, courteous and timely manner, and follow up with the Spa & Wellness Manager when appropriate.
  • Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests professionally and courteously.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by members and guests.
  • Asks members for a membership card to ensure non-members are not using the pool – when applicable.
  • Opens all umbrellas uniformly, neatly arranges all pool furniture, and sets out all pool floats, rafts, and other pool activity items.
  • Cleans, daily, all pool furniture; including umbrellas, tables and chairs, chaise lounge chairs, small beverage tables, dining tables, and chairs.
  • Offers large towels to all members in the pool deck area and uniformly places folded towels on the foot of the chair.
  • Offers and explains to all members the procedure for service.
  • Washes and neatly folds towels, as instructed. Keeps level supply of towels available at all times. If towel inventory becomes low, notify the Spa & Wellness Manager so that the appropriate action can be taken.
  • Sweeps and washes the pool deck daily.
  • Thoroughly clean the screened patio, desk area, wall, etc. daily. All should be wiped down and free of bugs and grime.
  • Updates self with the day’s weather conditions.
  • Updates self with the day’s activities of the club.
  • Informs the Clubhouse Manager when supply par levels are low. Completes proper requisitions for general supplies and the first aid kit.
  • Checks towel hamper. Wash, dry, and folds towels as needed. Informs the Spa & Wellness Manager if the towel par level is low.
  • Keeps work area clean and neatly organized at all times.
  • Empties trash containers on the pool deck throughout the day, as needed. The trash containers should be emptied before leaving at the end of each shift.
  • Shows up for work every day ready to serve the member. Proper attitudes and appearance are essential to performing a job correctly.
  • Develop a rapport with the membership that puts them at ease with your skill and job duties. Anticipate the needs of members with repetitive requests.
  • Uses proper telephone etiquette at all times.
  • Before leaving at the end of each shift, make sure the pool deck is completely clean and stocked for members arriving after you depart.
Other Common Responsibilities:
  • Approach all encounters with members, guests, and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  • Comply at all times with brand standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient club operations.
  • Check guests and members in and out: and provide facility tours and explanation of programming when applicable.
  • Ensure the facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day.
  • Promotes activities and functions offered throughout the club.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  •  Possess a high level of energy, initiative, enthusiasm, cooperation, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly.
  • Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
 Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications required, or willingness to become certified within the first 90-days.
Preferred Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or 1-year experience in a customer-facing luxury environment preferably in a resort or club environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Works indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals, and or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
