We are Hiring an Landscape Supervisor for our Esplanade at Lakewood Ranch property!

Ideal candidates are analytical problem solvers, easily adaptable, and driven leaders. They oversee and provide for overall repair and maintenance of the entire facility and grounds. This includes hiring, training, and supervising the crew and more. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work, as needed.

Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, so you can focus on the customer experience, maintenance and grounds repairs, and operations management.

The safe and skilled operation of most powered equipment such as: Maintenance Vehicle, Blowers, Rotary Mowers, String Trimmers, Edgers.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that grounds maintenance is performed and kept to established standards.
  • Installation and maintenance of plant material.
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Participates in irrigation repair & maintenance.
  • May lead small maintenance teams. Holds accountable crew members for maintenance standards.
  • Ensures that at the end of the day the equipment and hand tools are thoroughly cleaned and then stored in its proper location.
  • Perform and supervise daily repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and hand tools.
  • Required to wear supplied safety equipment: Safety Glasses, Earplugs, Back Support, etc.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Maintains a professional standard including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
  • Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Landscape Manager.

 Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associates (AA) degree; or two to three years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in managing personnel.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Pesticide Applicators License preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., The associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

Working Conditions:

  • Frequently stands, walks, and sits.
  • Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks, and hears.
  • Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, pushes, and pulls.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to.100 pounds.
  • Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid (non-weather) conditions.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
