What You Do:

• Guest Welcome: Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they arrive at the venue.

• Reservation Management: Efficiently manage reservations using multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and timely seating of guests.

• Seating Assignments: Organize and assign seating arrangements to optimize space utilization and provide guests with the best experience.

• Guest Information: Provide guests with information about the venue's offerings, including golf, bowling, and the restaurant menu.

• Waitlist Management: Maintain a waitlist and notify guests when their tables are ready while ensuring guests are comfortable during their wait.

• Guest Experience: Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to maintain service flow.

• Problem Solving: Handle guest concerns and special requests professionally, seeking assistance from management when needed.

• Reservation Systems: Proficiently use reservation software to manage bookings, update guest information, and keep accurate records.

• Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized hostess station and lobby area.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the restaurant and entertainment teams to provide a seamless guest experience.

• Sales and Marketing: Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with event coordination, as well as assisting as needed with curating our social media calendar and postings.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. Toast and MICROS)

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Strong experience in multiple POS systems (toast preferred) would be ideal.
• Experience managing a busy reservations operation with waitlists across multiple operations.
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
• Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors
• Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
