TRL Systems, a family-owned leader in fire life safety and security, is searching for a passionate Security Systems Foreman to join our team!
In this leadership role, you'll be the go-to person for overseeing installations of security systems like CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection. You'll guide your team of technicians to ensure projects run smoothly, meet deadlines, and exceed client expectations.
Here's what you'll do:- Project Management Master: Interpret blueprints, devise efficient installation strategies, and keep the project on track.
- Technical Expertise: Program and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems, ensuring flawless operation.
- Team Leader: Motivate and keep your on-site crew engaged, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Resourceful Problem Solver: Identify and address daily challenges, handling job site personnel issues with diplomacy and effectiveness.
- Training & Development: Train new technicians and oversee onboarding plans, fostering a strong learning culture within your team.
- Compliance Champion: Conduct project evaluations, ensuring adherence to scope and notifying project managers of any necessary out-of-scope requests.
- Detailed Documentation: Create comprehensive project work plans, update CRM tickets, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Safety First: Prioritize safety by enforcing protocols and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:- Extensive experience (5 years): Proven track record installing and servicing security systems.
- Leadership experience (4 years): Experience leading and motivating a team to achieve common goals.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Valid Driver's License: Valid California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
- Flexible Schedule: Must be available to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
Additionally, you'll possess:- Strong product knowledge: Familiarity with leading security system brands like Axis, Hanwha, Lenel, Honeywell, AMAG, Avigilon, and Genetec.
Work Environment:- Be prepared for diverse work locations including construction sites, commercial buildings, high-rises, and hospitals (with potential patient contact).
- The role may require working at heights and in extreme temperatures.
- You may occasionally work in confined spaces.
- Physical demands include repetitive motions, lifting equipment (50 lbs), walking, driving, bending, stooping, and prolonged standing or sitting.
