Job Details

BI Developer (SQL / ETL) Middletown, CT 12 months

Opening for a strong BI Developer (SSRS, ETL, SSIS ) with very good SQL experience.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by developing extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SSIS.
Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high-quality data.
Maintain and improve already existing processes.
Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions.
Prepare documentation for further reference.
Developing moderate to complex reports using Structured Query Language-(SQL) Server Reporting Services-(SSRS).
Monitoring database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required in SQL Server.
Writing ad-hoc SQL queries to support the operational needs of the agency.
Investigating and mitigating production support issues.
Collaborating with agency users of all levels in support of our development work.
Providing time estimates for current and future IT development work.
Performing related duties as required.

Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of ETL/SSRS development experience using SSIS.
Very strong Database Administration experience in SQL Server.
SQL Server competence (query performance tuning, index management, etc.) and a grasp of database structure are required.
Knowledge of data modeling principles
Enterprise Data Warehousing experience
Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
