Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Specialist to join our West Hartford, CT team. Our innovative and growing company is hiring for an EHS Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports for all Environmental Health and Safety programs as required by Federal, State and Local agencies.
  • Assist in plant-wide compliance efforts with federal, state / local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Maintain all EHS training documentation as required by corporate and federal / state standards.
  • Identify and organize sources of training and training documentation.
  • Work with department supervisors to facilitate investigations of ergonomic injuries, illnesses, and pain complaints.
  • Consult and support management, engineering or any other involved party with the design, organization and operation of workplaces, tools and methods used in the operation of the facility.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis and make recommendations to reduce risk to employees.
  • Act as the primary wastewater treatment system operator.
  • Perform Industrial Hygiene and Environmental sampling.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a closely related field.
