Job Overview:

Our partner firm is seeking a Sr. Accountant to focus on Financial Reporting and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. This role involves managing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, collaborating with various departments, and staying informed about changes in accounting regulations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and implement best practices.
  • Streamline reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal departments, including Accounting, Finance, and Legal, to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to senior management.
  • Evaluate financial performance and trends to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Compliance:

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting laws and regulations.

Documentation:

  • Maintain documentation of financial processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and update accounting policies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is often preferred.
  • Several years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial software and ERP systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Location: 
Austin, Texas
OTE: Base Salary: $125,000- $155,000 Bonus retirement plan, PTO/Holidays & flexible work-life balance.
