Position Overview

This is an entry-level position that provides assistance in building and property maintenance in multiple locations. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs routine landscaping maintenance such as mowing, weed-eating, mulching, pruning, sprinkler system, etc.
• At least 2 days/week will be outside mowing and landscaping during the spring and summer seasons
• Property is 11 acres with large open field, trails, woods, and flower beds
• Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting work
• Must be comfortable with heights (using ladders to get on building roof regularly)
• Routine and unexpected maintenance on 12 rental properties primarily located in Princeton & Farmersville
• Farm-work and landscaping at company president’s personal house about twice a week
• Meets with vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance or experience
• Purchases general supplies for building as necessary
• Maintains an organized system and storage of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
• Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgement
• Other duties as needed or required

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
• Able to multi-task
• Detail-oriented
• Able to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to work full time Tuesdays through Saturdays
• Must have reliable transportation
