Trissential is currently seeking a QA Analyst to join our client team in Rochester, MN. This position is a Remote role and only open to candidates who are eligible to work in the US and live/work within the United States.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As an Integration Testing Quality Assurance Analyst representing a reference laboratory, you will collaborate closely with external clients to ensure the seamless integration of Lab Information Systems (LIS). Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the testing process, working hand in hand with clients to define interface features, update configurations, establish test plans, execute test scripts, and ultimately certify successful test completion. You will meticulously review HL7 messages, client documents/reports, and execute clinical lab test resulting using defined test execution scripts. The role is focused on validating well-established interface configuration setups and functionalities with new client interfaces, ensuring smooth operations and accurate results.

Responsibilities:

  • Request system configuration based on client functional requirements.
  • Define test plan based on client functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Support the project team in Q&A with the client on test processes, schedules, system usage, interface features, clinical lab test build validation, etc.
  • Review client’s HL7 order message, specimen label, and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Result the clinical lab test based on the client order, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Review the client’s patient chart/report for proper display given the result HL7 message, identifying any discrepancies or issues.
  • Collaborate with the project and operations team to make decisions, execute work, and define issue resolution options, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Document test results in test tracking tools and summary reports, providing clear and detailed documentation of findings and outcomes.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for client test build validation post-project, including participation in business hour on-call rotation to address any issues or concerns.
  • Execute client go-live activities and provide ongoing support to the client post-go-live, ensuring a smooth transition and addressing any challenges that arise.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in a client-facing role, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Strong organization skills to handle multiple concurrent projects efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong computer systems aptitude, with proficiency in using various software tools and platforms.
  • Ability to define a test plan and select appropriate test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to requirements.
  • Ability to follow defined processes while applying critical thinking to make good judgments and adapt as necessary.

Experience

  • Experience with Lab Information Systems such as Soft, Cerner, Epic, Meditech, Clinisys/Sunquest, etc., including test build and execution.
  • Lab operations experience as a Lab Technician or similar role highly desired, providing valuable insight into laboratory processes and workflows.
  • Experience in application/interface testing, including the ability to validate system integrations and interface functionalities.
  • Proficiency in test plan documentation, with the ability to create comprehensive test plans tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Experience in documenting test execution results, ensuring clear and detailed records of testing activities and outcomes for reference and analysis.

Benefits

Trissential offers competitive compensation, with a hourly rate of up to $60 for each hour on a full time (40 hours per week) basis. Full time employees are eligible for a full package of benefits including company sponsored health care, accrued paid time away from work, and 401k with matching.
