Job Summary:
The Solar Exterior Modifications Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects involving exterior modifications to accommodate solar installations. This role requires strong project management skills, knowledge of construction and building codes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for exterior modification projects, including structural enhancements, roofing adjustments, and landscaping modifications to accommodate solar installations.
Coordinate project activities with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Permitting and Compliance:
Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory clearances for exterior modification projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental requirements.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities, utility companies, and other stakeholders to address permitting and compliance issues.
Construction Oversight:
Supervise and oversee construction activities related to exterior modifications, including site preparation, structural reinforcement, roofing repairs or replacements, and landscape adjustments.
Ensure that construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Quality Assurance and Control:
Conduct quality inspections and assessments of exterior modification work to verify compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.
Address any quality issues or deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure the quality and integrity of solar installations.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
2 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction or renewable energy industries, with a focus on exterior modifications.
Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations related to exterior modifications, such as structural engineering, roofing, and landscaping.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects concurrently, while ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
