Job Summary:

The Director of Warehouse and Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, and supply chain strategy. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain and warehouse management principles, and the ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Operations Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.

    • Implement best practices to optimize warehouse layout, improve efficiency, and minimize errors.

  2. Supply Chain Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with business objectives and support growth.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure product availability.

  3. Inventory Management:

    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.

    • Implement inventory control systems and procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.

  4. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

    • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts, service level agreements, and pricing.

    • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  5. Logistics and Transportation:

    • Oversee logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods.

    • Optimize transportation routes and work with carriers to ensure timely delivery of products.

  6. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies within the warehouse.

    • Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for warehouse staff.

  7. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse and supply chain team.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in warehouse and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in leading large-scale operations.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in supply chain software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
