Come join a longstanding software/SaaS organization in need to hire an experienced Reporting/Business Intelligence Developer to create reports for their new data-centric software platform.

This is a brand new role, will report in through development and the person can come from really any type of reporting background - Qlik, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

Best yet, you would work primarily remote and only need to come into the office a couple of times PER YEAR!

This person will help to design and built reports in a modern way for their new client-accessed system, so someone with a design eye to create attractive, functional and easily readable reports is a plus.

General SQL background is helpful for querying data

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
• Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to gather report requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.
• Optimize report performance and data accuracy.
• Develop and maintain data models and data visualizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports and data.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in reporting and data visualization.
• Provide technical support and training to users on report usage and best practices.

• Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Report Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in one or more reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with data modeling and data visualization best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Additional Skills (preferred but not required):
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as, Python, R for data analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for data storage and processing.
