Overview

Shipping, Put-away, Cycle Counting, Picking, Packing, Returns. This individual will have the authority and responsibility of warehouse employees, process handling and actions of employees.

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for meeting or exceeding established objectives and key performance measures such as productivity, quality and on time shipments to customers, as well as providing leadership and development to all Triple-S Steel 2nd Shift warehouse loading personnel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes.
• Directing production, shipping, cost, quality, and safety so that goals are met.
• Reviewing schedules, determining work force requirements, and monitoring productivity to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Make decisions regarding workflow throughout the Shift to ensure daily operational objectives are met.
• Monitor on an established basis, operations, procedures, and employees to ensure quality, service and productivity objectives are met
• Troubleshooting operational and maintenance problems and taking preventive and / or corrective action.
• Ensure all established Triple S Steel polices are enforced and followed by all employees. Such as, but not limited to; Quality Policy, Security, Safety, Health, Environmental, Attendance and all other policies.
• Operating the Gasparini Roll Former when manpower issues arise
• Train new employees in Safety and operational procedures
• Ensure that all next day outbound trucks are loaded, and paperwork completed
• Daily submittal of an End of Shift Report to the Operations Manager
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Responsible for overseeing employees on the 2nd shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Three years’ experience in a distribution environment (preferably steel distribution)
