Trinity Valley School is Hiring an Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Near Fort Worth, TX

Position Description:
Trinity Valley School seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Admissions to join the TVS Admissions team. The Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid is a critical member of the Admissions team and reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. This role carries out the key functions of stewarding Middle School (grades 5 to 8) families and Upper School (grades 9 to 12) families through the admissions process, organizing communications and outreach and building close relationships with prospective families. This position will also serve in the critical role of reviewing all financial aid applications for both current and perspective families. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. The role requires some evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to families via phone, email, and in-person meetings with promptness, warmth, and a high degree of personal care.
  • Provide engaging campus tours.
  • Direct the application review process for Middle School and Upper School in collaboration with the Director of Enrollment Management.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Middle School, Head of Upper School, Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, and Admissions Committees when reviewing applications and files and determining admissions decisions.
  • Coordinate Middle School and Upper School interviews and shadow days.
  • Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams on planning, running, and staffing all admissions events.
  • Remain current on the Middle School and Upper School programs at TVS and develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape in our area as well as trends in the independent school world.
  • In partnership with the Director, manage the Student Ambassador program, which includes selecting, training, and communicating with Middle School and Upper School students.
  • Coordinate the financial aid process for current TVS families and prospective students and act as a liaison to the Financial Aid Committee.
  • Manage data regarding financial aid and present it to the Director of Admissions and Admissions Committee as needed.
  • Review financial aid files and make recommendations to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management and the Financial Aid Committee for allocation of financial aid funds in accordance with the school's policies and procedures.
  • Engage in the life of the school.
  • Assist with the development and production of spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Prior Experience in admissions, preferably in an independent school.
  • Prior experience in reviewing financial aid files or related experience.
  • Excellent people skills, as well as verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Warmth, openness, and enthusiasm for working with children and families.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook email, Google and internet applications such as Canva.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal and state laws regarding student and family information and all personal identifying information.
  • Possess the ability to use student information systems, databases and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
