CNC Machinist Position Qualifications:
- Experience is required.
- Ability to stand for most of the assigned shift.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
- Ability to be Self-Managed.
This position is:
2nd Shift Position: Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am (includes a 15% shift differential)
The following is brief job description of the CNC Machinist position:
Set up Jobs
- Dial in/Diagnose difficulties with the most complex setups
- Set-up data Management
- Program Management
- Prepare Tooling
- Execute Traveler notes
- Maintain Fixture organization
Inspection
- Verify calibration and condition of gages
- First Article
- Review Quality Folder
- Inspection complete and documented
- Inspection complete and tagged by another qualified person
Training Operators
- Production of the day
- Data Collection-Job Boss
- Jobs specific training
- Traveler-aware of parts per hour and operation details (part quantity, allowable scrap)
- Review quality folder, print and first article with Operator
- Loading techniques (watch several loads)
- Machine Operator daily requirements
- In process Inspection Work Instructions
- Dimension Control Sheets
- Ensure that operator skill is adequate to meet the requirements of the job
- Follow up with operators (making sure the operator fully understands process requirements
- Product Identification/Tags
- Monitor quality/production requirements (get involved if either requirement is not being met)
Responsibilities may include running production to maintain delivery requirements.
