TRINITY SCHOOL is Hiring an Associate Teacher- Upper Elementary Near Atlanta, GA
Associate Teacher Position: Associate Teachers at Trinity School are inquisitive, nurturing, fun-loving, flexible, and creative. They model lifelong learning for their colleagues and students. They involve themselves in areas of the school beyond their classroom walls. The Associate Teacher is responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in fulfilling all of his/her responsibilities in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the School.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a specific subject
area
Georgia State Teaching Certificate/License or equivalent from another state
(preferred) Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Assists in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the Lead
Teacher
Models appropriate behavior for students
Works with students in whole groups, one-on-one, and in small groups
Understands and supports developmental benchmarks academically, socially,
emotionally, and behaviorally
Uses technology to enhance instruction and communicate effectively
Understands responsible digital citizenship
Collaborates with colleagues and staff to support the school community
Communicates proficiently in oral and written forms
Participates in associated duties such as carpool, lunch, and recess
Takes initiative to fulfill typical teacher responsibilities and demonstrate a
willingness to problem solve atypical situations
Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Lead Teacher and the Division Head. Work Hours
Generally, Faculty will work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 7:40 AM–3:15 PM,
Wednesdays 7:40 AM - 4:30 PM, and Fridays 7:40 AM – 2:15 PM. Associate Teachers need to remain with the class until the last student leaves.
Generally, new Faculty will work the hours above except Tuesday afternoon when
new employees have New Faculty Academy for an additional 30 minutes.
Faculty and Staff rotate weekly morning carpool which starts at 7:30 AM and
afternoon carpool which lasts a minimum of 30 minutes.
When necessary, the employee must be flexible in the ability to work more than
her/his regular daily or weekly schedule to complete duties and/or be available for parent conversations and consultations.
