ProgramManagers must be a NC licensed Physical Therapist/PTA, OccupationalTherapist/COTA or Speech-Language Pathologist
ProgramManagers for Trinity Rehab, Inc. will maintain control over daily operating decisionsincluding, but not limited to the financial operations, billing integrity,corporate compliance, standards of practice, and standards of care for anyfacilities in defined area. Program Manager’s report to the AreaDirector.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires moderately heavy physical exertion ona regular and reoccurring basis such as extensive driving, assisting patientsin transfer activities (wheelchair to bed, to tub, to commodes) and providingsubstantial support to individuals in ambulation therapy. Regularly required touse hands and arms. Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands andarms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit.Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds. Specific vision abilitiesinclude close, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Generaloffice, health care setting - exposure to infectious disease.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Provides treatment as ordered by the attending physician. Interprets, plans,establishes, and exercises proper treatment program in accordance with thephysician’s referral, periodically, reviewing the patient’s program andresponse and making recommendations to the physician relative to the need ofcontinuing or discontinuing the physical therapy treatment. Assists thephysician in evaluating disability, injury, or disease process of individualpatients and in evaluating the patient’s level of function.
2.Contacts the physician directly for patient reports and care as needed. Observes,records, and reports to the physician the patient’s reaction to the therapyprogram or any changes in the patient’s condition. Submits to the physician andthe Program Supervisor appropriate written reports to the patient’s progress atthe designated intervals using appropriate and designated forms.
3.Assist in determining the need of the patients an in developing the total planof care.
4.Instructs, teaches and supervises patients regarding physical therapyprocedures as related to the patient’s therapy programs.
5.May supervise Physical Therapist Assistant(s) and co-sign Physical TherapistsAssistant’s progress notes.
6.Adheres to all applicable federal, state, local and company-maintainedstandards of care and ethics and policies concerned with the practice ofphysical therapy and among other things, personnel qualifications.
7.Participates in staff development activities and in in-services educationprograms.
8.Demonstrates evidence of continuing education conducted for in-service sessions.
9.Meets productivity and utilization expectations as established by the Companyand the facility.
10.Completes timely clinical documentation to include functional goal-setting,progress and therapeutic approach.
11.Completes administrative/billing documentation timely and accurately.
12.Covers more than one facility as required by the need of the Company.
