TRINITY HEALTH is Hiring a Mammography Tech (Per Diem) Near Springfield, MA

Description:

This individual is responsible for operating mammography equipment to obtain images according to physician and ACR specifications. Positions patients and adjusts mammography equipment to correct setting for each examination. Assists physicians in carrying out examinations and consultations. Assists in sterile procedures, and the like. Performs general clerical duties such as report filing and distribution, answering telephones, taking and relaying messages, photocopying materials, and the like.

The ideal candidate will display a drive to provide patient-centered experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our patients. The candidate for this critical role also uses critical thinking skills to resolvecomplex procedural situations & ability to handle emergency high stress situations during high risk procedures.

Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program in Radiologic Technology and 40 contact hours of mammography training and 25 mammography examinations under a qualified instructor plus three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Exceptional Patient Care: Must understand we exist for the patients and make their care the number one priority.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree program in Radiologic Technology plus three (3) months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.
  • Licensure: Massachusetts Radiology license.
  • Certification: A.R.R.T. registration in Mammography within a year of hire.
