SOURCING: Participates in Sourcing Teams and Value Analysis Teams (VAT) under direction of Strategic Sourcing Manager. Independently secures data from suppliers and internal sources as directed, and performs effective analysis of findings.
PROCUREMENT: Conducts industry and product research via web searches, phone calls, and supplier meetings. Assists in administration of supply chain submitting Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) as directed by manager. Gathers and compiles information from a variety of sources to contribute to analyses.
PURCHASE ORDERS: Places orders with approved suppliers in comformance with Loyola approval policies and signature authority policies. Assists with supplier on-boarding, performance monitoring and problem resolution. Manages errors and exception reports. Provides timely resolution to Invoice with No Receipt (INR), Receipts with No Invoice (RNI), buyer messages, etc.
CONTRACT SUPPORT: Executes contract renewals, service and maintenance agreements and unique Sourcing for assigned area or category. Prepares negotiation plan and executes under direction of manager.
LEAN: Supports Lean process initiatives. Recognizes opportunities to maximize savings and increase efficiencies; proposes changes accordingly.
COMMUNICATION: Provides effective communication to management, coworkers and vendors to establish collaborative communication, especially as related to activity status of supply chain accounts. Serves as a professional and knowledgeable representative of organization to outside vendors.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Actively engages in professional development to maintain current skills and knowledge of business trends and best practices.
