DUTIES / RESPONSIBLITIES :

• Cleans and services building areas according to established procedures.
• Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the Hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing walls, doors and furniture, arranging furniture and equipment after cleaning assigned area, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring that contaminated waste products are securely stored and maintaining that storage areas are locked at all times.
• Knows proper use, operation and care of equipment; reports any needed repairs and / or safety hazards to manager.
• Demonstrates the ability to properly clean and sanitize all equipment.
• Performs Floor duties as required such as run floor machine, buffer, stripping and waxing
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Must have the ability to read, speak and write the English language.

Must follow oral and written directions.

2. Previous environmental services / housekeeping experience preferred.
