What You Will Do:
Pick up specimens from locations as needed and transports appropriately to the Pathology department and correctly identify specimens, registers, accessions and tracks, and delivers to appropriate location/department including send out testing.
Performs frozen sections, assists with FNA’s and other procedures. Ensures supplies are ordered and organized for department.
Ensures appropriate handling of blocks, specimens, and cassettes. Performs appropriate lab maintenance. Properly cleans and disinfects equipment, instruments and work areas.
Confirms and verifies results by having in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentation. Understanding of computer-based applications (email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office).

Full-time, Day Shift
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Hospital based pathology laboratory or gross room experience preferred.
Skills: Organized and have the ability to learn new techniques, procedures and regulations efficiently. Able to organize workload effectively and work quickly with high level of accuracy.
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
