Position Purpose:
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the IV Therapy Registered Nurse RN provides patient care by specializing in administering intravenous medicine, vitamins, or fluids.
What you will do:
You will insert and maintain peripheral IVs, midline catheters, and other types of lines, monitor patients’ vitals during treatments, and adjust medications as needed.
Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
Experience: 1 or more years of IV Placement experience is required.
BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
Position Highlights and Benefits:
Full-Time – 32 hours/week - Night Shift.
8-hour shifts, Weekend commitment is four (4) weekend shifts per six (6) week schedule.
