Job Title: Quality Engineer

Reports to: Director of Technical Services

Department: Quality and Compliance

FLSA: Exempt (not eligible for overtime)

Location: Breinigsville, PA

Trinity Glass International has a quality engineer position available at our Breinigsville, PA manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be a team leader and have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful engineer will have a high level of attention to detail, be well-organized, and have a strong background in developing and implementing process and quality controls. This team player will also have a keen ability to define, monitor, analyze, and report on performance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide the material, process, and product specification process – participate in reviews, planned improvement, and sustain forward planning.
  • Guide the corrective action and improvement process -- participate in process reviews, monitor corrective action and planned improvement, and sustain forward planning.
  • Document existing operations - procedures and work instructions.
  • Validate process definition, control points, and performance measures.
  • Monitor, analyze and assess performance results -- to include cost effectiveness and process efficiency.
  • Report on the status of performance measurement, process control, corrective action, and quality planning subsystems.
  • Champion introduction of new customers and products to the operation.
  • Facilitate teamwork and continual improvement through training across the organization.

Education and Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year undergraduate degree - technical, or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years of progressive analytical experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in assembly line manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record of improving quality, efficiency, and workflow in a production environment
  • Personal/Professional Development History 
  • Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering Certification (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Lift components that may weigh up to 30 pounds. Team lift heavier components.
  • Walk short distances in a manufacturing environment.
  • Climb stairs to main office area.
