Trinity Episcopal School is Hiring a Middle School Lacrosse Coach Near New Orleans, LA

Part Time

Trinity Episcopal School is an early childhood through Eighth Grade co-educational
school located in the Garden District. Trinity Episcopal School’s mission is to build

The primary role of the Middle School Lacrosse Coach is to provide a competitive,
enjoyable, and safe sporting experience for an assigned group of lacrosse players while
they learn individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. This is a
part-time position, from February through April; Monday through Friday and some
weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide quality coaching and instruction to players participating in the lacrosse
program
  • Coach an assigned group of children emphasizing skill development, safety, fair
play, sportsmanship, and fun
  • Preside over team activities, including all scheduled team practices and games
  • Ensures the team is compliant with rules and regulations of the New Orleans
Athletic League
  • Assists players in achieving athletic success and fostering individual and team
goals
  • Be responsible for team equipment
  • Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit
  • Manage the weekly field activities of the team and strategic player drills to teach
relevant skills, and techniques
  • Arrive on time and have a practice plan for each practice and a detailed strategy

for each game

  • Lead the team at all regular season games, playoffs, and tournament games
  • Coach in a positive manner and abide by the code of conduct policy
  • Communicate with the Director of Athletics on a daily basis
  • Prepare the players for the physical and mental challenges of competitive
lacrosse
  • Identify player strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback to each player
