TriMedia Environmental and Engineering Services is Hiring an Industrial Hygienist Near Kalamazoo, MI

- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, engineering, construction management or related field required .
- 2 years of experience in a professional field OR master’s degree in industrial hygiene/occupational health preferred .
- Ability to travel, locally and regionally, up to 50%.
- Knowledge of construction materials, buildings, and reading construction drawings.
- Existing regulatory certifications (e.g. asbestos, lead) are a plus .
- Experience conducting field assessments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service.
- Good technical writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Evaluate workplace health and safety exposures for a wide variety of clients across the country.
- Conduct building hazardous material assessments.
- Prepare equipment and conduct sampling for industrial hygiene surveys.
- Observe work activities that can contribute to exposures.
- Accurately document field observations and interactions.
- Apply appropriate calculation methods for chemical and noise exposure assessments.
- Ensure principles of personal protective equipment and clothing are followed at all times.
- Draft reports that are clear, concise, grammatically correct, technically competent, and ready for senior review.
