Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description:

Manufacturing Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and leading Kaizen event teams.
  • Designing internal Kan Ban systems for material availability on a single-piece flow basis.
  • Supporting manufacturing through the design, testing, and implementation of fixtures, processes, and systems for continuous improvement.
  • Benchmarking existing processes using value stream mapping techniques.
  • Implementing 5S in all manufacturing cells.
  • Identifying and executing opportunities for design or process improvements.
  • Demonstrating creativity in reducing the cost of materials, components, and labor for furnace system assembly.
  • Documenting manufacturing processes and procedures through written SOPs.
  • Maintaining production metric boards and production wheels for efficient communication.
  • Assisting the production team, addressing questions, and troubleshooting fabrication issues.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops and participation in professional societies.
  • Assisting with equipment analysis to assess the risk of potential hazards.
  • Contributing to various aspects of the business to ensure strategic and tactical goals are met.
Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering-related discipline.
  • 5 years of work experience in LEAN manufacturing environments.
  • Friendly and professional tone and actions.
  • Inventive problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • Project and process management skills.
  • Solid Works & AutoCAD experience required.
  • CAM Software knowledge a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Windows.
  • Some travel may be required for training, industry-related activities, or customer support.
  • Physical demands include talking, hearing, handling documents, objects, tools, or controls, occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Work environment includes typical office and manufacturing settings with varying noise levels.
