TriMech Services is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Talladega, AL

Mechanical Designer
TriMech is currently hiring a fulltime CAD Designer in the Talladega AL market. The CAD Designer is responsible for creating models and drawings for custom decorative metal fabrications, mechanical connections, and engineered systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide 3D Modeling/Design support to engineering and fabrication teams.
  • Make design changes to models and create 2D production drawings to be used by the fabrication team.
  • Incorporate site data captured via point clouds or site measurements and feedback.
  • Demonstrate moderate to advanced drafting skills with the following software: SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Perform other project required duties as assigned by Lead Designer.
  • Effective communication with Project Managers, Clients, and design teams.
  • Proficiency in document management
  • Active participation in internal constructability and design reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Vocational training or Associates degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with CAD and 3D modeling.
  • 3-5 years of drafting and detailing work
  • Knowledge of structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals a plus.
  • Prior hands-on experience with metal fabrications a plus.
  • Prior experience with foundry/pattern work/casting processes a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to obtain accurate field dimensions.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion.
