TriMech Services is Hiring an Automation Specialist Near Agawam, MA
Automation Specialist primary responsibility would be designing automated systems for CNC machines. This entails using PLC control equipment, motion control equipment, safety control equipment, vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, network communications.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design control systems based on mechanical design and intent.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems through phone support.
- Ability to understand CNC controls and integrate external systems.
- Understand pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Troubleshoot robot, automation, electrical systems, and controls.
- Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements.
- Update program backups for automation.
- Program new installations of automation, material handling, and robots.
- Ability to layout and design electrical controls to NFPA safety standards.
- Review risk assessments as part of a team evaluating equipment safety.
- Edit and maintain electrical schematics and drawings for existing products using CAD drawing software.
- Must be able to set up and design control panels for automation.
- Working with PLC logic and controls
Candidates must possess 3 to 5 years’ experience in the following:
- Must have 2D Drawing experience.
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of Servo Control, Hydraulics Systems and Mechanical design
- PLC Ladder Logic (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Direct Logic)
- Control Panel Layout & Design
- Safety Controls, i.e., E-Stop, Door Safety, etc.
- Motion Control
- Industrial Communication Protocols
- Machine Builders Electrical Code (NFPA 79, CE Standards)
- Pneumatics & Hydraulics
- Robotics is a plus.
- Ability to read, interpret and create electrical schematics with CAD software, AutoCAD, or Drawing Software experience preferred.
- Ability to read Electrical Prints.
- Pneumatics and Hydraulic Experience.
- Must be able to set up and design control panels for automation.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
- Must be able to provide support and troubleshoot equipment by phone.
- Willing to travel up to 10% for technical support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High School Diploma necessary; some college preferred.
