Job Description

Our Doors, Frames and Hardware (DFH) Detailers work closely with Trim Tech Project Managers to complete submittal packages for our customers and their architects. Submittal packages are based on the architectural plans and specifications for the construction project. The Detailer must be able to read plans and specifications, and produce DFH submittal packages. The Detailer will use Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat to create and assemble the door and frame schedule and elevations, hardware groups and the supporting documentation while ensuring the construction compatibility of the doors, frames and hardware.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create project submittal packages in AutoCAD and Excel, using doors, frames and hardware information from architectural plans
• Identify and correct inconsistencies and errors from the architectural plans while updating the submittal package
• Prepare and update the door/frame schedules and hardware groups
• Develop complete drawings of door and frame elevations along with the associated section details
• Prepare and distribute submittal packages to Project Managers
• Revise submittals upon architect’s review or approved change orders
• Interact as a key team member with the Estimating, Engineering, Project Management, and Purchasing teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
