Description
The Regional Leader - Traffic Operations Group is responsible for the success of the Traffic Ops group within the Mid-Atlantic Transportation Division; including the geographic area of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Responsibilities include driving revenue and sales growth, expense, cost and margin control, and financial goal management. This Division is currently composed of ~85 engineers, planners, and consultants with the goal of doubling in size over the next two years.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Management of staff of the Mid-Atlantic Traffic Operations Group.
Ability to mentor and develop junior team members along their career path.
Managerial capability to lead and direct activities of all project team personnel, monitoring technical production on all projects to insure adherence to quality standards at high productivity.
Manage traffic signal design, signing plans, pavement marking plans and traffic control design
Maintains healthy client relationships and possesses operational experience for driving projects and executing deliverables.
Leads and manages staff to achieve established goals for successful projects and outcomes.
Responsible for all financial aspects (profit/budgets) of assigned group.
Evaluates and communicates the operational and business opportunities for growth decisions.
Effectively communicates the corporate goals, philosophy and culture.
Assist Division Manager in developing near and long-term goals for revenue and profit growth and provides input for corporate decisions.
Ensures compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Coordinates the planning and executing of daily operations.
What you'll need
Manage the development of traffic signal plans, communications plans and signing/pavement marking plans
Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking and presentation skills.
Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and Professional Registration required; with at least ten (10) years of experience in assigned discipline.
Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
