Description

CPH, a nationally recognized Engineering and Architectural design firm ranked among the Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine, is seeking a proficient and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team in Sanford, Florida.

Billing specialists play an instrumental role in ensuring the financial health of an organization by effectively and timely preparing invoices for our clients.

They contribute to the company's cash flow by adhering to billable sections of contract agreements and generating and distributing invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

Duties Include :

Invoicing : Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that invoices are complete and compliant with contracts, company policies and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities will also include the following :

• Implementing invoicing procedures.
• Tracking, reviewing, seeking approvals, and distributing invoices.
• Investigating slow approvals.
• Managing client requests and queries.
• Uploading and archiving invoice data, as well as electronically filing contracts and supporting documents.
• Verifying tax information.
• Assisting with past due or denied invoices.

Customer Relations : Collaborate with CPH leadership and PM teams to resolve customer inquiries and disputes, fostering positive relationships with clients.

Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the invoicing process, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Requirements

• At a minimum, an associate degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-7 years of experience with invoicing, and familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Experience with generating and distributing approximately 150 invoices within a week is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent note taker
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to analyze large sets of data
• Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Spanish as a second language, written and spoken, is a plus.
• Experience in the following industries in a plus : Construction and / or Engineering.
• Experience in the following applications is a plus : Deltek Vision and / or EleVia.
