Position Summary

Trillium is looking for a Bar Lead to join our team at our Fort Point location! Our ideal candidate will play an integral role in ensuring our guests have exceptional dining experiences. This individual will be passionate about craft beer, and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition, and previous experience working as a Bartender in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Maintain Trillium Bar standards for beer, cocktails, and wine presentation/quality
• Coach and correct any beverage execution by bar staff that is not meeting Trillium standards 
• Partner with Bar Manager to address any recurring issues and suggest training opportunities
• Assist with training of both new bartenders and retraining of existing team

Customer Service

• Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service
• Assist customers in their beer selections by effectively communicating information about our beer styles and brewing process
• Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible
• Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner

Bar Service

• Memorize our food and beverage menus and make recommendations to our guests
• Serve pours in accordance with Trillium's quality standards
• Operate and troubleshoot draft equipment and move and change kegs as necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area
• Open and close according to Trillium opening and closing procedures
• Assist during private events and special releases as necessary

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Desired Qualifications & Abilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 years experience working as a Trillium bartender, server, or manager in a restaurant environment
• Demonstrated success in process improvement and initiative
• Minimum 18 years of age
• TIPS training required

• Able to perform bartender skills to a superior standard
• Organized and efficient with great attention to detail
• Ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional guest service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly, with composure and enthusiasm, to customers and fellow staff
• Willing to work a full time (30-40 hour) flexible weekend schedule (including Friday-Sunday) including nights and holidays with doubles
• Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol (e.g., TIPSs (Training for Intervention Procedures)
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Move lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
