What We’re Looking ForResponsible for multiple claims processing duties and assisting providers by phone or email with claims processing questions.
On a Typical Day, You Might
  • Provides training to the Provider community on the claims processing system.
  • Inputs data into the system such as claims as needed.
  • Analyzes, researches and corrects, if applicable, claims payments and denials.
  • Generates and analyzes claims payment and exception reports to determine problems. Analyze, research, track and correct if possible the reasons for the denials, etc.
  • Provides technical assistance to providers in the form of phone calls and/or emails.
  • Files paperwork (claim forms, payback/adjustments from Providers etc.)

QualificationsEducation: High School or GED
Required ExperienceOne (1) year of clerical experience required or equivalent of higher education or higher education/experience. Requires computer related experience.
Preferred ExperienceExperience in health care field and /or experience in claim processing or accounting related field preferred. Prefer computer related experience in Microsoft Office Excel application.
License/Certification: None
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must reside in NC to be considered for remote status
