About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Rate of pay: $20.25 to $21.75 (depending on education & experience)

Location: Keizer, Oregon – Meadowlark Day Program

Job Summary:

Works under the direct supervision of the Day Treatment Skills Trainer Supervisor in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of skills-specific therapeutic services for school-aged youth in the day treatment program. Within the guidelines and direction established by the supervisor, provides education, direction, and modeling to assist client with their treatment goals for implementing identified evidence-based therapeutic interventions, assisting with academic instruction, and providing skills training for all clients in the program. Must be able to provide emotional support, leadership, and direction to all clients. Consults with team members, agency personnel, and family members regarding current client issues. Accountable for providing supervision and trauma informed care of clients in the Day Treatment Center. Implements treatment programming in a classroom environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.

About the position:

  • Engages in positive and appropriate relationship-building with clients, their resources, and coworkers.
  • Ensures safety, security, and confidentiality of clients in classroom and community-based settings.
  • Facilitates and leads Individual and group skills training with the clients in accordance with the Client’s treatment plan.
  • Monitor and document client progress toward goal attainment in accordance with agency standards and complete professional documentation as required by agency policies.
  • Provide education and modeling of behavioral management techniques to client and adult caregivers modeling professionalism, effective communication, problem solving and decision making that promote clients Restorative Services goals.
  • Understands and participates in the treatment process (from assessment to discharge), including interdisciplinary communication, family engagement, documentation, and relationship building.
  • Demonstrates understanding of risk management procedures, protocols, policies and interventions related to high-risk client behavior. This is achieved through policy review, formal testing, training compliance, and validated observation which demonstrates these competencies.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and works toward cultural competencies for the organization.

About You:

TOP 3 MUST HAVES:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of child and adolescent development and treatment standards, models, concepts, and theories within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Demonstrate and approach treatment of individuals with clear boundaries and problem-solving skill sets.
  • Demonstrates acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors and cultures

PREFERENCE (but not a must)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience: Two (2 years) full years experiences as a direct care worker with at-risk children and/or adolescents is preferred.

Pay Equity: Please be advised that the pay range listed for this position is intended to provide general guidance on the earning potential for the role. However, actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law and will take into account factors such as the candidate's relevant experience and education.
