Job Summary:

Trileaf is seeking a full-time, Project Scientist with at least 2 / 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be based in our St. Louis, MO office.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (3-4 days per week)
  • Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone
  • Ordering & analyzing government database records
  • Performing regulatory agency file reviews
  • Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)
  • Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources
  • Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients
  • Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
  • Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
  • Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards


Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Licensed Asbestos Inspector
  • Management
  • Mold assessment experience
  • Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903)
  • Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
  • Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
  • Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
  • Environmental Professional (EP)


Education
: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
