Trigo ADR Americas is Hiring an Aerospace Quality Inspector Near East Islip, NY

Under general supervision and reporting Quality Management in Quality Operations. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing visual inspection operations including In-process, Final Inspection, and FAI’s as appropriate. The Quality Inspector must be familiar with hand tools and inspection under magnification. The Quality Inspector will also assist in verification of test data and all other applicable data concerning components, and associated documentation and other duties identified by cognizant management.

Part Time 25 hours per week

Job Functions:

  • Experienced quality individual in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components
  • Experience in performing FAI’s – AS9102
  • Experience with hand measurement tools
  • Knowledge of CMM Inspection process
  • Knowledge and experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation
  • Perform final inspection and receiving inspection (Which includes dimensional, visual inspection, surface finish, and assembly inspection)
  • Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints, and other documentation
  • Process warehouse materials
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines/procedures to perform the functions of the job
  • Support positive corrective actions and identification of root cause
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experienced quality individual in dimensional inspection of aerospace machined components
  • Experience quality individual in quality inspection in aerospace and defense field
  • Experience in performing FAI’s – AS9102
  • Experience with hand measurement tools DocuSign 
  • MS Outlook, and EXCEL experience
  • Experience with hand measurement gages, conduct conventional inspection to engineering requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation

  • Fluent English – reading and writing is required
  • Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Valid drivers license and auto insurance required.

Ability to: 

  • Ability to handle complex situations and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to press and analyze technical and business information
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to interact via telephone, email with co-workers
  • Ability to remain seated for up to 5 hours at a time

Supervision Received: 

  • The work is performed under general supervision
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Education and Skills (including certifications):

  • 3 years’ experience as a quality inspector or technician
  • 3 years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility 
  • 3 years’ experience in inspection duties, FAI’s GD&T, and b/p interpretation 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Effective communication skills 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Prior practical experience and implementation of Quality inspection tools and equipment. Experience in RCCA, and problem-solving 

Pay Range: $20 - $28 hourlyPlease note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
