Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-minded Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic freight brokerage team. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and internal data to develop pricing strategies that optimize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the freight brokerage industry. This role requires strong quantitative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of transportation logistics.

Responsibilities

As a Pricing Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze market conditions, industry trends, and customer demand to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for various freight transportation services, considering factors such as distance, weight, volume, and mode of transportation.
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis to understand competitor pricing strategies and position our services effectively in the market.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and systems to gather, organize, and analyze pricing data from various sources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies, making recommendations for adjustments as needed to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Provide timely and accurate pricing guidance and support to sales teams, including responding to pricing requests and negotiating pricing terms with customers and carriers.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, market dynamics, and emerging trends that may impact pricing decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and presentations on pricing performance, trends, and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing models, tools, and processes to enhance pricing capabilities and efficiency within the organization.
