Role and Responsibilities - Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines and equipment, including all electrical and mechanical functions.
  • Ensure that all required preventative maintenance activity is completed.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduled and completed work.
  • Report repairs that require outside contractors, to Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain and control inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Provide inventory to Maintenance Manager, weekly.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in compliance with government regulations.
  • Ensure that all required preventative maintenance activity is completed. Maintain accurate records of scheduled and completed work.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area and assist with other facility needs as required.
  • Operate a workstation as needed.
  • Assist maintenance staff as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill and Education requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • One year of completed Technical or Trades School of any discipline beyond High School. Or currently enrolled in Technical or Trades School of any discipline with one semester completed. Or one year work experience in a similar field.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment manuals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and work lists. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Hi-lo experience is a plus, can train on site.
  • Self-motivated, and the ability to work with a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk and/or hear.
  • Must be able to examine parts and machinery using close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals and extreme heat. Initial training is required within 6 months of employment to a position where hazardous materials are handled. Refresher training will be completed annually.

Currently hiring for all shifts. Shift hours are dependent upon the plant you are hired and assigned to.
