Overview: Sage Memorial Hospital is seeking experienced Dialysis Technicians to join their team of medical professionals who have started a new Dialysis Team.

Setting: Hospital Inpatient Unit

Volume: 1-2/day

Shifts Hours: 7a-7p, working a rotating 3/4 schedule, 36-48 hours/week

Daily Activity: Work as a Dialysis Tech but due to low volume will assist and perform basic clinical procedures in the Inpatient Unit as well

Inpatient Census: 6-8 per day

Inpatient Unit is staffed with 3 RNs

Pay: $25/hour $1,099 weekly per diem

13 week assignment with option to extend

Requirements:

- AHS BLS Certification

- Certified Hemodialysis Technician License (CHT)

or

Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)

Duties

• Perform dialysis treatments for patients with kidney failure under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines according to prescribed procedures.
• Monitor patients during dialysis treatment to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Assess patients' vital signs and adjust treatment parameters as necessary.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by healthcare providers.
• Document patients' treatment information, including vital signs, fluid removal, and medications administered.
• Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized dialysis area, including disinfecting equipment and disposing of waste properly.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Assisting patients on the dialysis process
• Assembling and testing the dialysis machine before initiating treatment
