Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced individual to fill the role of Director, Project Management in Indiana. This position will provide strategic leadership and oversight for our project management team, with a focus on delivering high-quality structural engineering, surveying, and metrology solutions for customer projects in the construction, metals, and petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, including managing teams, and a strong background in structural engineering or related fields. Additionally, we are seeking someone who is a visionary leader, with a proven track record of driving successful project outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence within their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the project management team, including setting goals, priorities, and performance targets.
  • Oversee the execution of customer projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and project teams, fostering professional development and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Utilize extensive experience in structural engineering and project management to assess project requirements, develop innovative solutions, and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to optimize project outcomes and deliver value to customers.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and addressing customer needs and concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management team, implementing best practices, processes, and tools to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor project financials and resource allocation, optimizing project budgets and resource utilization to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism within the project management team, promoting adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Represent the company in customer meetings, industry conferences, and networking events, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Bridge and roadway experience preferred

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in structural engineering, construction management, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects in the construction, metals, or petrochemical industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring project management teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, surveying techniques, and metrology methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and senior management.
  • Proven ability to drive results, make data-driven decisions, and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • PE License in Indiana (or ability to obtain one if hired)
