Element is currently seeking a Full Time, 1st Shift Test Technician for a facility in Warren, Ohio.

The Test Technician will be responsible for performing various tests required for research, development for Automotive Thermoplastic cables for Electric Vehicle technologies and assemblies.

The Test Technician will be responsible for testing thermoplastic cable insulations and various material samples using a variety of equipment.

Test Technician Responsibilities:

• Must set up and conduct product tests per technical specifications.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Monitor test progress to meet scheduled milestones.
• Accurately record test results/documentation and write final reports.
• Acquire knowledge and proficiency in the use of general and specialized laboratory techniques, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Prepare test samples.
• Perform standard engineering test measurements.
• Record test data and product performance.
• Maintain housekeeping/safety standards.
• Prepare test reports.

Test Technician Qualifications:

• Must have 1-3 years of experience.
• Minimum of a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• Must have an aptitude for materials or mechanical technology.
• Basic understanding and ability to read technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical ability to aid in problem resolution and troubleshooting.
• Understands the capabilities and application of basic laboratory instrumentation.
• Must be able to work 1st shift, 40-45/hrs. with some overtime and weekends.

The position is Full Time, Long Terms with an hourly payrate range that is based on experience and education from $18/hr.-$21/hr. to start with paid overtime.
