Tri-State Equipment is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Bridgeton, MO

We are looking to add a talented CAD Designer to our team in a newly created role. You will be responsible for creating shop drawings and technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will need to be a detail-oriented person who is responsible for deadlines and enthusiastic about adding value to our team and able to produce consistent and accurate work. We've got lot's of new orders so this is a great opportunity to get solid hands-on experience and take on responsibility quickly!

Tri-State Overhead Crane is a growing company that has been independently owned for over 60 years and still has family roots. We design, build, install and service custom overhead cranes across the country with a large focus in the central US. This role will be based onsite at our St. Louis headquarters.

The CAD Drafter will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare, generate, and update shop and technical drawings using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks).
  • Organize supporting information to produce bills of materials and product manuals.
  • Assist in outlining fabrication and installation procedures.
  • Help establish / maintain company's standards for CAD techniques.
  • Assist Engineers as needed to develop new designs and detailed drafting.
  • Coordinate with project managers as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Degree program in computer aided design, drafting, engineering or similar.
  • 1-3 years relevant work or project experience.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software - SolidWorks a plus.
  • 3D drafting experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of structural steel fabrication detail (cutting, welding, machining) a bonus.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
