Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as a Business Analyst for National Flooring.

Position Highlights: The National Flooring Module Business Analyst (NFBA) provides enterprise-wide support for the TRI Pointe Homes Envision Flooring Module. The NFBA is the first line of support for end-users and the companys foremost expert on the Flooring Module, connected JD Edwards Homebuilding functionality, and associated applications. The NFM works closely with business process owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), IT resources, and vendors/third-party consultants on the resolution of system issues, development of ad hoc reports, evaluation of enhancement requests, identification, and delivery of solutions to meet business needs.

The NFBA will be the project manager and lead trainer for a strategic full company rollout to each division. This will entail developing a repeatable go live strategy and any documentation needed for success. The NFBA will lead and train Purchasing, Design, and Sales teams, both virtually and in person. The NFBA will provide continued support post go live in terms of training, SME meetings, division check in, etc. The NFBA will help each division through a change management process as current processes are aligned to the new Flooring Module.

The NFBA prepares business requirements and functional specifications for any system/software development and tests and delivers system changes for his/her functional area.

The NFBA is also responsible for maintaining and developing educational materials and providing end-user training for the Flooring Module and associated system process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Function as the lead expert of the Envision Flooring Module and lead support and implementation company wide.
  • Function as the lead expert of the JD Edwards E1 9.2 Procurement Module
  • Working with Senior and Division leadership to develop a companywide roll out plan and manage each division roll out as the main project manager.
  • Develop training materials and supporting documentation where needed to support and train team members across multiple departments.
  • Be an integral part in supporting the development of future enhancements to the Flooring Module.
  • Develop an understanding of how all systems function together including JD Edwards E1, Envision, and Hyphen BuildPro.
  • Able to understand how flooring is procured, contracted, and installed.
  • Provide guidance to the divisions and understand itemized flooring takeoffs and item pricing and their connections to the Flooring Module.
  • Develop a robust repetitive strategy for handing the conversion of current process to the new Flooring Module.
  • Provide support for all business divisions by troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving Flooring Module and process issues. Prioritize and resolve issues by collaborating with vendors, third-party consultants, and IT resources.
  • Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
  • Work closely with business process owners and stakeholders to identify and prioritize system enhancement requests. Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical development.
  • Maintain lists of business requests for vendors system enhancements and defects. Work with vendors to resolve system issues, roll out new software releases and enhancements to business divisions including change management, communication, and training.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the companys business processes and how business processes interact with systems.
  • Develop in-depth system, reporting and integration knowledge for all systems functionalities and their applications for Purchasing, Design, and Sales end-users.
  • Function as a subject matter expert for the Flooring Module and understand the connections to each system/application.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation including training plan and materials, communication plan, and change management plan.
  • Coordinate implementations, system upgrades, system/data migrations, and software releases.

Position Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in business systems/applications and construction related process experience.
  • Highly organized. Strong listening skills. Ability to multi-task in dynamic, high energy environment. Capable of successfully advancing multiple initiatives/projects/activities at once.
  • Able to develop and lead both in person and virtual training and tailor those trainings to different audiences.
  • Must be willing to travel to all divisions as needed throughout the go live and post support processes.
  • Be able to problem solve and work with different personalities, systems, processes, etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work across both technical and business lines at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and achieve quality results.
  • Proven analytical, reasoning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Homebuilding, Job Cost, and Procurement practices for the construction industry.
  • Direct homebuilding purchasing experience.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards E1 Homebuilding, Job Cost, and Procurement modules for the construction industry.
  • Understand best practices to gain efficiency and accuracy and champion new products and processes for consideration and implementation.
  • Create and update option product offerings in Envision and other database applications.
  • Work collaboratively with Tri Pointe Homes National Accounts and Marketing teams.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Companys Mission, Vision & Values, and Brand Pillars.
  • Strong PC skills required, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook), Adobe Pro, and internet-based programs such as Edge and Google Chrome. Prior experience with Enterprise-One/JD Edwards, ShareFile, DocuSign, Envision, and Hyphen Solutions preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between 117,600-158,100 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus. Bonuses are earned, calculated and paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Companys applicable incentive plan document.
