Tri Energy Cenex is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Bismarck, ND

Tri-Energy Cooperative, a leading provider of Cenex gas stations and convenience stores across Bismarck, Mandan, Dickinson, Sterling, and Lincoln, seeks a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Clerk. Flexible hours, Monday through Friday between 8 am - 5 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tri-Energy Cooperative has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to complete the day-to-day accounts receivable operations. The Accounts Receivable Clerk position is responsible for reconciling assigned store till totals and various duties related to Accounts Receivable. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes for our diverse operations. This position will report to the Controller.

DUTIES:

Review and Verification of Daily Store Groups:

  • Conduct a meticulous review and verification of daily store groups across our 12 convenience stores/gas stations and bulk fuel department.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions to till totals, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Scrutinize shift reports for recall and voided tickets, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Record Bank Deposit, Lottery, and Variations information on an Excel Spreadsheet for monthly review.

Print and Process Daily Groups:

  • Print and process daily groups, posting relevant information to the Accounts Receivable System for all Tri Energy Cooperative locations.

General Clerical Duties:

  • Answer phones professionally to assist customers across all Tri Energy Cooperative locations.
  • Filing documents accurately, considering the diverse nature of our operations.
  • Basic customer service interactions tailored to the unique needs of convenience stores, gas stations, and bulk fuel operations.
  • Undertake general clerical tasks to support the seamless functioning of the Accounts Receivable department in a multi-location setup.

Customer Assistance:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries regarding their accounts across various locations.

Processing of Statements:

  • Contribute to statement processing for all locations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.

Balance and Reconcile Coupons:

  • Balance and reconcile coupons for submission to ND Grocers, maintaining meticulous records for all Tri Energy Cooperative sites.

Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

  • Frequently – 34-65% - Stand, walk, or sit.
  • Occasionally – 1-33% - Reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, crawl, climb or balance, or lift up to 25 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment, addressing the unique needs of a multi-location operation.
  • Strong teamwork skills, fostering collaboration across our diverse convenience stores, gas stations, and bulk fuel department.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to navigate challenges associated with a varied operational landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
