Powerline Technician (Lineman)
The position of Powerline Technician will open to applicants beginning on May 20 and will remain open through June 3, 2024. Responsible for constructing and maintaining the infrastructure that carries electricity from power plants to homes and businesses. This role involves working with high-voltage systems, climbing poles, and using specialized equipment to ensure a reliable and safe power supply. Work is performed on de-energized lines, energized lines and equipment up to 600 volts.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical training or apprenticeship in power line work and/or prior experience in electrical line work or a related field preferred. Completion of a recognized lineman training program; relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Lineman certification) is a plus.
Must possess a valid Class A driver's license or have the ability to obtain this license within a specific amount of time.
