The hiring range for this opportunity is $150,000 to $200,000 annually along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Position Summary

Leads product management and development activities related to the Bank’s customer-facing business and consumer digital systems.

In support of the bank’s overall strategic objectives, leads the creation and execution of effective, innovative and reliable digital services.

Translates customer needs and market opportunities into new or enhanced services and features, and works closely with IT, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Training and others to generate and preserve revenue, acquire customers, maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

  • Leads and supervises Digital Product Management activities to achieve company-wide business outcomes.
  • Manages a team of digital product managers, including coaching, mentoring and development. Directs, supports and advances product managers’ individual efforts while ensuring effectiveness and peak performance.
  • Formulates an overarching digital strategy for assigned systems, in collaboration with stakeholders and in alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Creates and manages a product roadmap for each assigned service encompassing strategic objectives, customer needs, market conditions, technological capabilities and other factors.

  • Partners with IT to manage prioritization and deployment of roadmap items and manage and extend the life cycle of related services.
  • Collaborates closely and maintains outstanding working relationships with key IT staff and leaders. Ensures alignment of IT development processes and platform technologies with product roadmaps.
  • Manages the digital customer experience, including onboarding, and advocates for the user experience with stakeholders.

Ensures complete alignment with Brand Marketing standards.

Develops metrics and KPIs for team member and assigned system performance; monitors and evaluates performance in order to facilitate continuous improvement;

reports on KPI’s to senior and executive leaders to ensure continuing progress toward strategic objectives.

Collaborates with various stakeholders to gather data, such as marketing research, competitor and vendor research, and system-generated behavioral data, in order to understand and interpret customer needs and market opportunities;

inform short- and long-term strategies and roadmaps; and craft winning value propositions.

  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of the marketplace for related banking systems, including competitors, substitutes and suppliers.
  • Collaborates with peers and Marketing and Product Management team leaders to develop, implement and manage underlying processes that support rigorous, cost-effective and timely digital product management and development.
  • Works with IT, Project Management staff and others throughout the bank to create, gain approval and advance digital product management projects, including creation of business cases for significant efforts.

Obtains resources and removes obstacles as needed to advance projects and support bank wide initiatives.

  • Works especially closely with others to create or revise product- or service-related marketing content, promotional programs, training efforts and channel distribution initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains vendor relationships and corporate partnerships and alliances in support of services, products, revenue and other strategic objectives.
  • Establishes and cultivates business relationships throughout the bank and community in support of group and company objectives.

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulations as they relate to product management and development, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA / AML);
  • OFAC compliance; Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP); Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z); Truth in Savings Act (Regulation DD);
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA); Fair Lending; Telephone Consumer Protection Act; identity theft red flags; FDIC rules on Non Deposit Investment Products (NDIP);

FDIC advertising rules; Fair Housing Act; SAFE Act; CAN-SPAM Act; Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act; Mortgage Acts and Practices in Advertising.

Act, as well as Federal Reserve Regulations B and E.

  • Complies with confidentiality regulations Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) and non-public personal information (NPPI) regulations.
  • Works collaboratively with the bank’s Compliance and Legal groups in order to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Education, Experience and Other Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, Masters preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of experience in a bank or financial services organization, including three years of Digital Product Management experience.
  • Experience in usability and customer-focused digital design
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while progressing toward overall objectives
  • Superior writing, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in use of office computers and Windows applications
  • Strong business, analytical and planning skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking skills
